Who can pass on amazing trance? I sure can’t, especially when it has haunting vocals.
Sometimes it feels good.
Sometimes it feels real.
Sometimes it feels right.

Last Wednesday we mentioned a band called OceanLab, a side-project of the legendary electronic group Above and Beyond and vocalist Justine Suissa. In the ten years they’ve been producing together OceanLab has created a plethora of trance classics.
The thing that makes OceanLab so great is their unique, highly emotional sound. OceanLab is largely a concept group: the vast majority of their songs sound like music created by a people who live in the middle of the ocean, both floaty and lonely at the same time. Enjoy an example while you continue reading (remember to hit the jump first and then press play).

This is a trance classic. Really it’s more of the classic of the classics, though it did come out 2004 so I guess not the classic of the classics, but certainly a classic…kind of. Anyway, if you listen to trance you need to have this song in your playlist. You know, because it’s a classic.
In case you didn’t know Motorcycle is actually Gabriel and Dresden and the singer in this song is Jes. Also, Taxigirl is Tiesto (and Jes too). Crazy right? Minds are being blown.
P.S. How I Met Your Mother returns tonight so we expect every last one of you to be suited up!

Here at Best Music Ever.net we’re huge fans of music that fuses different genres together. Despite the fact that it makes labelling bloody hard, there ain’t much better than when two types of music blend to make something amazing. Credit absolutely has to be given to the producers, making songs like this can’t be easy.
Rocket In The Sky is one such fusion song, mixing together trance with dance elements. The end result is a beautiful tune that has the melody and sadness of trance fused with the steady beat of dance. Within the electronic genre this song stands out with its unique sound.
And if you’re wondering, Benny Benassi does in fact make up half the group, the other “brother” is his cousin, Alle.
P.S. Speaking of electronic music, for those of you who love the genre be sure to check out DI.fm, an online multi-channel radio station. Start with the trance and vocal trance channels and move on from there as you desire. This isn’t a promotion, we just love it and thought we’d pass it on.
