As many of you will know, Daft Punk is doing the soundtrack to Tron Legacy. This is big news to fans of Daft because they haven’t put out an album with brand new material in forever (5 years, for those counting).
When a series of songs supposedly from Tron hit the internet a few weeks ago a lot of people naturally got very excited. The music sounded exactly like Daft Punk and all the songs are amazing. Hit the video below to see what we mean.
That’s one of the “leaked” songs and it had a lot of people convinced outright that it was Daft…only a few weeks later the original uploader put all the songs out under the name “The Third Twin.”
If you Google “The Third Twin” there is no information on the band. No website, no forum postings, no Myspace. Who are these guys? Is it Daft? Is it a killer band that just sounds a lot like Daft? AHHHH. We hate not knowing things!
Either way the music is great…but still…we’d really like to know.

A huge thanks to one of our readers, John, for firing over a bunch of links about the band. The Third Twin hasn’t revealed much yet but things are starting to make a little more sense.
